Application Process
Complete a loan application by clicking the link below, compile all additional requested documentation, and mail or hand-deliver to 2 Race St. Charleston, SC, or scan & email to info@climbfund.org.
CLIMB Fund does not have a maximum or minimum loan size but loan amounts tend to be between $10,000 - $250,000 with an average of $75,000.
CLIMB Fund charges loan application fees which can be paid via check, money order, or credit card after submitting an application. The fees vary depending on the type of business and number of owners.
CLIMB Fund is designed to be flexible in meeting your needs. Collateral requirements, credit determinations, and loan terms are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. In general, here’s what we’re looking for:
Character: Are the owners dedicated, hardworking, and qualified to run the business? Are their personal finances in order, and have they demonstrated fiscal responsibility?
Capacity: Will the borrower be able to repay the loan (and other bills)?
Collateral: Are there assets available to secure in order to mitigate risk?
Capital: How much have the business owner(s) invested in the project?
Conditions: Is the business concept viable in today’s market?
